MME Monthly Challenge

Hello.  I must admit, I really enjoy the challenges offered by some of my favorite manufacturers.  The challenges I must admit, give me the inspiration and impulse to create.  As I share another one of my creations, be sure to check out the monthly challenge details, here at My Minds Eye.

I would like to share the products used for this LO.
All Products are from MME (Lime Twist Collection--paper, diecut, overlay, 6x6 paper pad; Breaking Free Collection--parentheses die; Bella Bella Collection--background paper).

A requirement for the challenge was to specifically identify on a LO for which one wants to celebrate.  Well my daughter insisted she wanted to express the unconditional love she and her brother share...My heart's in pieces :-)

LO Name:  Celebrate:  The Love for my Brother

Thanks for stopping by.

Have I told you lately...I Love You

Hello.  I would like to share a LO I created for the MME June LO Challenge, here.  One of the requirements of course was to use majority MME product, but in addition one needed to choose a song's lyrics as the theme for the layout.  Well for my LO, I selected..."Have I Told You Lately" by Rod Stewart.  This song brings a lot of emotion for me, as it brings wonderful thoughts to mind, of my beautiful children.  In the LO below is a picture of my second child, my son, my everything.  He is truly special to me, more than any word or song could ever describe.  This song portrays a lot of emotion, he is one of the loves of my life...

p.s. I apologize for the lighting in the picture.  I was unable to take a picture in nature sunlight, due to severe raining conditions.

Products used:
Paper:  MME--Abbey Road, Bella Bella, Bohemia, Penny Lane.
Die Cuts:  29th St. Market
Chipboard:  Bohemia
Floral:  Laundry Line
Quote words:  Signature Life & Bohemia.
Rub-ons:  Bohemia, Magnolia, Laundry Line.
Side Note:  All the items listed under the title "I love you" were single items from a variety of lines and brought together to make a unique embellishment.  be sure to take a closer look :-)

I truly hope you enjoy the details, as you know I really really like lots and lots of details on my LO's.

Let the FUN Begin

Hello, I would like to share a layout I created for my of my favorite companies MME.
This layout was based on a sketch listed for this month's challenge: April Showers...

Check out the sketch details here.

LO Name:  Let the Fun Begin
Where we live, we welcome spring, just as if it were summer.  So we are ready to enjoy the hot temperatures and playing with water.

When I think of spring, I immediately think of April Showers, just like the theme of the challenge.  So my intention to fulfill the challenge theme, I wanted to portray a detail of water.  I specifically used pictures, which involved water play, as well as incorporating details to highlight water bubbles punched on the edge of the patterned paper while adding dimension by using the embellishments.

Products used:  MME---Fine and Dandy Blue,Quite Contrary, Ohh La La, Be Merry. Other, Cardstock.

Thanks for taking a look at the details.

 LO Name:  His Charming Eyes

In this layout, I created faux pearl accents, by using one of my current faves, Liquid Pears by Ranger.  I try to incorporate hand stitching on my lo's.  It gives a personal touch on my lo's.

I used a variety of products to include, Basic Grey, Cosmo Cricket, Kaiser Craft, K & Company, My Minds Eye, Ranger, Recollections.

Thanks for stopping by and I really hope you enjoy at all of the details on my LO.

My Mind's Eye Challenge #21

Here I am today sharing a LO I created for the MME monthly challenge.  I truly enjoy these challenges as it's an escape for me from my daily duties as a wife and mommy of two.  The LO is based on the sketch by Anam Stubbington featured on the MME blog here.

I truly hope you enjoy the details, as much as I enjoyed creating this LO.   The one detail I tried for this LO, I tried to incorporate several different patterns of punched edges.  Be sure to take a closer look at the edges.  As always, I was certain to include some hand-stitching.  I like this technique as it gives off a hand made feel to the LO.

LO Name:  Little Lady

Supply list:

Paper:  Magnolia, Tres Jolie, Signature Life, Card stock
Die Cut:  Bohemia, Dreamy 2 Kaleidoscope (Kaleido Title)
Bling:  Bohemia
Border:  Bohemia 12” Borders

My Son Gives Me Inspiration

Hello There :-)

I share a LO based on a sketch listed on Pagemaps blog, HERE.  It is for the Basic Grey sketch contest.    Since, I truly enjoy lots and lots of details on my LO's, I challenged myself, to maintain the details of the LO to mirror the same as the sketch. So here is my creation :-)

Layout Name:  Cool Rider

One important detail, I've tried on my LO's is the use white cardstock as my background---to be honest I really really like the results of the white background.

Product list Details:
Tag:  Daisy D's; patterned paper: DCWV, MME (abbey road); Brads: MME (abbey road); Rubon's: Bo Bunny, DCWV; Font:  Making Memories, Cricut Cartridge (Street Sign); Pen: Zig; Spray Ink: Maya Road Red; Decorative Edge Scissors; Cardstock.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you enjoy my LO's.

P.s.  I did not forget to post my other LO's.  Be sure to stop by again soon!

Time for a Challenge

Well, another month to create.  Every month I look forward to create a LO using  primarily MME product---this is because at the MME blog, they run a challenge every month, here.  I enjoy all of the creativity shared.  I've created many LO's by participating with the challenges, but it's not until now, that I created my blog, where I am able to share my passion for scrapbooking.  I will upload my designs from previous MME challenges on my blog, so be sure to stop by again for a peek ;-)

Now, allow me to share my latest creation, remember this LO was created based on the sketch by Anam Stubbington provided on the MME Blog, here.

I truly released my love and emotion in creating this LO.  I personally enjoy details, lots of details, on my LO's.  I wanted to maintain a feminine feel on the LO, with minimal use of floral dimension.  I ask myself why minimal floral details?  Well I do love flowers on my LO's, but I wanted to try a different approach---to maintain a feminine feel with the use of lace.  I did not use lace, but rather altered my cardstock with punches to give the look of lace.

LO Name:  Everything

Supplies used:

Paper:  Penny Lane, Dreamy, MME All Boy paper stack
Die Cuts:  Signature Suite, Abbey Road
Die Cut Overlay:  29th St. Market
Rub-Ons:  Magnolia, Laundry Line

Other:
cardstock & Glaze pen (for doodle flourish design)

Tools:
M. Stewart Punch—to create lace pattern on white cardstock
Cricut—Blue Vines (Magnolia Paper Line) & Photo corners (cardstock)

Please take a look at the details.  Enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by ;-)

Hugs,
Rosie Vega

Well, I must admit it's been a bit of a journey to get my blog running.  There are still details to fine-tune, but I know in time, it will work out.  I intend to share my passion and creativity I have for paper crafts, to include scrapbooking, cardmaking, stamping, artist trading cards, and altered art.  Be sure to stop by again, as I will be uploading some images of my recent creations.  Thanks again, Rosie :-)
